MONTAUK CLUB WEDDING, BROOKLYN NY: CARL + SHAWNA

I know that I'm extremely blessed to not only get along with all of my couples, but to also call them friends. Carl and Shawna have felt like friends since our first meeting, and that friendship continued over delicious dinners, a double-date brunch in Brooklyn, and hot chocolate get-togethers at City Bakery. Carl and Shawna are "old souls" that bonded over their love of old movies, history, and reading! I think Shawna’s love of reading has also made her a fantastic writer! Here are some words from the bride about their wedding day! :)

"From the beginning, Carl and I both knew that we wanted to stay clear of the "wedding hall" reception. We paid a visit to The Montauk Club, a gorgeous late 19th century building with features of the 1920's, and instantly fell in love! The venue really inspired us, and with the help of Sean Psomas of Wildflowers, we developed an "invitation to the reading lounge" concept in which we wanted our guests to feel as though they had been invited for a party in our antique study.”
